D&P Case Study | University of Buffalo

Food for Thought

When the University of Buffalo in New York State wanted to improve the traffic flow in their busiest food court, they turned to D&P Custom Lights & Wiring Systems, Inc. Their goal was to have attractive, functional lights that didn’t detract from the design of the food court.

Q&A

According to Ray Kohl, the Marketing Manager for the University’s Campus Dining and Shops, “We chose D&P after viewing their website and seeing their capabilities. There were many options to choose from and they showed a genuine interest in working with us to create something eye-catching.”

With the university’s needs and goals in mind, D&P’s design team got to work. D&P developed several different designs, layouts, and options for the client to choose from. All the options presented were within the University of Buffalo’s working budget. According to Kohl, “The whole process went extremely well. D&P offered suggestions on lighting, switch position, and mounting and even introduced us to cost-effective LED lighting for this project.”

The results are shown here in the University of Buffalo’s Putnam Food Court! After the customer chose the D&P design they felt worked best in this environment, the lights were custom manufactured to their specification, and recently installed.

“I would highly recommend D&P Custom Lights,” states Ray Kohl. “They produced a great product in a timely manner, communicated well throughout the project, and followed up with us after shipping to make sure everything was in order.”
